Research
I have published more than forty academic papers in well-known journals such as Ecological Economics, Energy Economics, The Anthropocene Review, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Applied Energy, Journal of Environmental Management, Land Use Policy, Energy Policy, Journal of Cleaner Production and top Chinese journals like Economic Science, China Population, Resources and Environment, Issues in Agricultural Economy and so forth. I also published one monograph, one translation, and I wrote chapters for five books.
I have presided over or participated in more than twenty funded research projects.  For example, as project applicant, I presided over three research grants funded by the Natural Science Foundation of China, two research grants of the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Project funded by the Ministry of Education, and several other grants funded by sources such as the National Population Development Strategy Research Project, the Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the Institute for New Rural Development, and others. As a sub-project leader, I presided over several research grants from funding sources such as the National Science and Technology Support Program, the Key Project of the National Social Science Fund, the Project of the International Poverty Reduction Center in China, the Asian Development Bank, and GIZ Germany.
