Prominent Alumni Forum of Centennial Anniversary Celebration

 

`Prominent Alumni Forum & Series of Publications Conference` of Centennial Anniversary Celebration & PKU`s Economics Discipline 110th Anniversary Celebration was held in Taikang Life Conference Hall of School of Economics on 24<sup>th May, 2012. PKU Vice President LIU Wei, Dean SUN Qixiang, Vice Dean ZHANG Zheng, former Dean YAN Zhijie, Professor CAO Fengqi from Guanghua School of Management, MENG Xiaosu from China National Real Estate Development Group Corporation, WU Qixiu from Ministry of Finance of the People`s Republic of China, and other guests plus PKU faculty & students attended the event.</sup>

 

PKU Vice President LIU Wei, Dean SUN Qixiang made their opening speeches and gave us a recital of the 100 years` development of School of Economics. They highly praised all the faculty and students for their spirit of enduring hardship and working hard for the construction of the School.

 

Four alumni, including Professor YAN Zhijie, Professor CAO Fengqi , MENG Xiaosu and WU Qixiu also delivered their speeches on the forum.

 

Alumni donation took place on 5 p.m. Alumni enrolled in 1981 donated an Alumni Stone to the school, and alumni enrolled in 1982 donated RMB 198.2 thousand yuan. Moreover, Economy Branch of Anhui Province PKU Alumni Association presented the school with an iron picture; Hongkong PKU Trade Alumni Association presented a crystal pedestal.

 

Series of Publications Conference was after the donation. These books recorded the 100 years` journey of School of Economics and thought & wisdom of our predecessors; the collections of thesis and research projects reflected recent achievement of the School.

 

After the forum, a party was hosted by School of Economics at the PKU Lakeview Hotel to receive alumni from all over the world.
