From Jan 3 to Jan 5, Dean Sun Qixiang was invited to participate in the American Economic Association (AEA) Annual Meetings, which was held in Boston, USA. During the session, Professor Sun attended a party gathering with the alumni of School of Economics in Copley Square, Boston. Qin Xuezheng, Foreign Affairs Assistant, Zhang Pengfei, Deputy Head of the Department of Development Economics, and Chen Yi, Deputy Head of the Department of International Economy and Trade also took part in the event.

Dean Sun made an opening address and fully affirmed the alumni’s work performance and academic achievements. She also encouraged alumni go back alma mater from time to time and continue tosupport the development of the school.

The alumni learned about recent developments of SEPKU in detail and expressed the desire to establish a North American Alumni Association.
