The Master of Insurance is one of the four master programs in School of Economics, Peking University. The admission requirements and the application and admission process follow the document attached. The applicants who wish to apply for the program of Master of Insurance must apply to the School of Economics and must choose this program. The faculties of Department of Risk Management and Insurance will be involved in the tests and interviews.

The School of Economics, Peking University plans to enroll 100 students as Professional Oriented Master of Finance, Master of Insurance, Master of Taxation, and Master of International Business in 2017. The goal of professional oriented masters is to better meet the needs for advanced professional talents and train practical, compound, and applied students. There are two different procedures of applications that are Recommendation-Assessment Process and National Graduate Student Entrance Examination. The enrollment quotas are as follows:

1. Recommendation-Assessment Process
In accordance with the relevant provision of Ministry of Education on graduate enrollment, Peking University recruits national outstanding fresh graduates for Master degrees. Please refer to the "Peking University Admissions for Master of Grade 2017" to the detailed requirements of professional master degrees.
2. Graduate Student Entrance Examination
The Master of Insurance (025500) only admits via Recommendation-Assessment Process in 2017. Please refer to the Chinese version for the details.
3. Program Information
Professional oriented Masters of Finance, Insurance, Taxation, and International Business are full-time, two-year, credit-based degrees.

4. Degree
Requirements for the Graduation Certificate
· Pass planned courses in predefined years
· Fulfill the credit requirement
· Complete Master’s degree thesis
· Pass defense organized by the Peking University
· Approved by the President of Peking University
Additional Requirements for the Master’s Degree
· Further examination and approval by the University’s degree committee
5. Tuition
Total tuition for professional oriented Master’s degree programs at School of Economics, Peking University is CNY 99,000, which shall be paid in two equal installments in each academic year. Students should pay the tuition at the time of registration in each academic year. Students who fail to pay tuition may not be enrolled or registered.
Neither scholarship nor waiver of tuition will be provided for professional oriented master’s programs. Students are also expected to self-fund accommodations.
6. Transfer of Personal Archives
Admitted students should transfer their personal archives before registration. These files are related to the accommodations, health insurance, and future employment.
7. Regulations and Liabilities
7.1 Graduate School Admission Office and other pertaining offices of the university supervise the admission procedure. Channels for appealing will be publicized on time and all appeals will be handled appropriately.
7.2 Applicants discovered to have committed irregularities such as submitting false documents would be serious processing according to regulations of the university (disqualification or being struck off the school roll). Violators will also be under the investigation of judicial authorities.
7.3 Admission officials who have kinship with applicants will not take on admission work.
