U.S. Financial Delegation and Officials from NDRC Visit SEPKU

On March 14, 2011, Professor SUN Qixiang, Dean of School of Economics met the U.S. financial delegation composed of senior officials from Rockefeller Rose Rock Partners LLP., Pryor Cashman LLC, CO-OP Branding, Joseph Capital LLC, Stanford Centre on Philanthropy and Civil Society, etc. Dr. Cao Wenlian, Director of the International Cooperation Centre of National Development and Reform Commission (ICC, NDRC), and Mr. Zhang Sijia, Director of Information and Consulting Division of ICC attended the meeting. Associate Dean DONG Zhiyong, Chair of Finance Department He Xiaofeng, Professor Ping Xinqiao, associate Professor LI Lianfa, Dr. Chen Jingqi, etc took part in talks.

Professor SUN Qixiang gave a speech first on behalf of the School of Economics to welcome the delegation and officials. She briefly introduced the academic structure, faculty and research centres of the School. Professor SUN believed that cooperation among all parties would make contributions to the economic development of China, the U.S., and the world.

Dr. Cao Wenlian expressed his pleasure of attending the meeting in the School of Economics where he received his PhD degree. He hoped that the cooperation among academy, enterprises and government departments can be achieved. 

Mr. Steven Rockefeller Jr., President of Rose Rock Partners LLP. stated that Peking University is a prominent university of high prestige, and he hoped he would have an opportunity to develop cooperation. 

Delegates and scholars of School of Economics deeply exchanged ideas on interested topics. The meeting was successfully concluded.
